Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” is a fantastic film about a group of Londoners who find themselves in dangerously heavy debt to local East End gang boss “Hatchet”. Having overheard a gang discussing robbing a group of drug growers, they decide to rob the robbers in turn. During this, another scam is going on, in which a pair of antique shotguns go missing, which leads to numerous characters linking up in the film building up to a big finale.

I thought Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” was an amazing motion picture. The story line was well composed giving a big build-up for the end of the film, leaving you on the edge of your seat ignorant of whether or not the gang will get the money in time. Not only did this film have incredible action scenes including gunfights and punch-ups, but it was also a very comical film. I felt the intended audience of Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” was most likely for teenage boys going on to late 20’s as it was typical blokes film with lots of action and a bundle of laughs.

The actors Guy Ritchie selected for this film where perfect for the part, for example Jason Statham is your typical London geezer, not only does he have the strong London accent, but he also looks like a proper London lad with his shaved head. I have seen Jason Statham in other shoot ‘em up films before and he just makes the films with this London attitude.

Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” is a definite must see, and a great film for a lad’s night in.
