Today i watched a video in which it explored all the flaws of such things as Christianity and the American Government, amongst many other things. Unfortunately i have not watched the whole film, but i plan to do so. However, from what i have seen, i found that a lot of these flaws had been covered up by the media, for example, the terrorist attacks on the world trade centers, we were constantly having the words "terror", "terrorist" and "evil" pushed down our throats, when in fact, if you watch the video, there seems to be reason to question whether in fact these attacks were terrorist related. This video has also made me question whether Christianity is true or not? and has shown how we and the media influence each other to believe what we are told.
The film is very interesting, and i advise that you watch it. You can do this by simply clicking this link: www.zeitgeistmovie.com and scrolling down to the middle of the page in which the "June 18th 2007" version of "ZEITGEIST, THE MOVIE" is.

Hi Johnny. Tell me about the film. Was it trying to persuade you that the media as a whole conspires to cover up events? Or are they saying that they cover them irresponsibly, depending on their political stance? Al Jazeera (the Arabic broadcaster)portrayed a very different set of events from Fox in the US. Both claim to be 'neutral'. So how come they show the event in such different ways?
Hiya, i think that the media do sway what they say to their own political views, but i also feel that they force us into this world of fear almost. As what is said in the film, when the terrorist attacks hit us, all we saw in the newspapers and on the television was "Terror" Terrorist" and "Fear". I think this imediately almost brainwashes us into fear and makes us support religious leaders and governments, when infact, it could be those leaders who are causing the fear. I feel the main reason why the media shows the events in such different ways is most likely to do with their political and religious beliefs. What do you think?
As the old saying goes, 'one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.'
Trying to extract the truth in as objective a manner as possible is always a tricky business. After some years in journalism I realised it wasn't for me, and moved to arts programming instead.
It's very difficult to find balance, particularly in the 24 hour news world we inhabit now. There's too much pressure on news outfits I think to simply push out content, without considering it it's meaningful, insightful and worthwhile.
